Inspired by a story my bus driver told me about the seal colonies of Kaikōura, New Zealand. Off the coast there is a canyon between two tectonic plates, it pushes cold, nutrient rich water to the surface which fuels this massive food chain and brings all the seals to kaikoura. This ring explores the connection between the landscape, sea life, and the tectonic forces beneath them.
This ring is slightly hollowed out in able to give a chunky feel but slightly lighter and more comfortable to wear.
